The Richard Borek stamp company was established in 1893 by the great-grandfather of the current owner. The business grew significantly over the decades. In time for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich Richard Borek decided to found a separate company for the distribution of coins under the name MDM Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (MDM). The company groups development continued by entering new markets, founding subsidiaries as well as introducing new products. Today, MDM is the world leader in marketing and distribution of commemorative coins and the ideal partner for the development and distribution of any major collectible program.
MDM‘s mission is to offer high quality products with a strong emotional value. Thereby MDM profits from it‘s long standing partnerships with issuing authorities, mints and international organizations (IOC, FIFA and others )
In continuation of the family tradition the company was always handed over from father to son. The current owner had the pleasure of celebrating the 125th anniversary of company history in 2018.
